New Life Center was established in the home of Guy E. Roam in University City, MO in 1948. In 1952, the church erected its first structure. By 1969 New Life had grown too large for its facilities. New Life relocated to its present location. Brother Guy Roam pastored New Life Center from 1948-1984.
In 1984, James Roam became co-pastor of New Life Center. A gifted administrator, Brother Roam helped organize New Life for its next stage of development. In 1992, Jim Roam left to start a work in Phoenix, Arizona.
In 1993, Jerry Jones became pastor of New Life. His giftedness in the pulpit and his sincere desire to reach this city helped transition this church into its next stage of growth. He also started a daughter work in Warrenton, MO. In the fall of 1998, Jerry Jones was elected General Secretary of the United Pentecostal Church International.
In 1999, Garry Tracy left Global Missions to become the fourth pastor of New Life Center. He oversaw the building of the new Family Life Center, remodeled the facilities, empowered ministry world-wide, started small groups, and encouraged a vibrant Spanish ministry.
In January of 2015, Aaron Batchelor became our fifth pastor. We are looking forward to the future, under his guidance as our pastor and that of our Bishop, Garry Tracy. New Life Center is equipped to transition to the next phase of development— greater maturity and numerical growth.
